Come and paint with me on Dartmoor!
Art walks is an excellent way to see a little bit of the wildest part of the moors, sketch and relax.
Taking in the landscape and painting is such a wonderful and enlightening experience which will allow you to explore and experiment within your practice. I find working from the surrounding landscape rather than a photograph can really make a difference to the painting, even if it’s a rough sketch.
We start at Belstone common and walk up alongside the Taw river, making our way onto the Tors to give us an especially inspiring view. During the walk we will stop and sketch, I will lead a watercolour lesson and we can sit to complete our sketches. Once back at Belstone a cream tea will be waiting!
Materials are provided and classes run from 10am – 1pm.
Private classes are available on request.
This is a very weather dependent class so it may be postponed if its terrible out there. Please bring warm clothes and waterproofs!! Camping chairs will not be provided so if you have one bring it along.
